CONFESS!!!!! Reality TV Shows you're addicted to watching |
|
Me? There isn't a whole lot left I'll watch for reality TV, but if MTV has a "Pimp my Ride" marathon or VH1 does a marathon of "America's Next Top Model" - I'm glued to the TV set.
VH1 did a repeat of season #2 of ANTM which was the absolute best season because that had one of the best Reality TV moments ever when shy-awkward Shandi hooked up with a hunky Italian model and then called the next day to confess to her boyfriend at home that she cheated on him. Her boyfriend was this geeky type, which ironically so was Shandi before she was on ANTM.

so I have no idea who is going to be the big winner this round. I'll have a better idea after watching it this week.

She is the one who had to chop off all of her hair. She is very pretty, but her attitude drives me up the wall.

Great fight last week. I hope that gets the show going a bit. It's been kinda lame this season.
Thank Qat Spike is finally getting rid of the wrestling.

|
can't get enough of it.
I always think "Wow. If I was 7-9 inches taller, 30 years younger and hadn't had the operation, I could give these gals a run for their money."
One I like to check in on is America's Biggest Loser-about obese people losing weight, not the moran in the white house.

Well, maybe 20 years younger but even still.
Maybe I'm just reliving my youth. I always liked Shandi because I was alot like her with being the geeky scrawny kid. Of course I wouldn't have thought twice about ditching my geeky boyfriend for the hot Italian Hunks, but that's just me!

I think she has been successful though since the show. Before Top Model started this season they did a "where are they now" type show. She's been on the cover of some magazines. She and her boyfriend have also broken up. She said they worked at it for over a year but decided to just be friends.

I just didn't see Yoanna as a 'Top Model' (but I see she has her own show on Style Network which suits her perfectly). I also didn't think Mercedes was Top Model material - Shandi was definately the best of that group and maybe April in 2nd place.

no appearance or mention of Yoanna on that? Or the first one winner, IIRC. And I'm glad they got rid of that bitchy judge-Janice Dickinson. She was never a 'Top Model' Or a super model for that matter, regardless of her claims.

The only time I was pulled over by the cops and had to take a breathilizer |
|
I kept remember episodes of cops and reminding myself to not act like an asshole if I want to get out of this.
To be honest, I did register, but only because I had just had a beer right before I got into the car (that was the only one I had all night). The reason they pulled me over was because I didn't get into the correct lane for the turn I was making but to be honest, they had changed those lanes from years ago when I use to take that route home every night (first time I was driving that route in years- the one cop even confirmed the lane assignments had changed).
One of the cops was actually being a real jerk to me because my first test came out 0.0 and I passed all the co-ordination tests and he thought I was somehow cheating. So the cop was going to force me to take another breathilizer test and was being an real asshole when I calmly asked, "Could I see what I got on the first breathilizer test". WHen I asked that the cop started yelling at how he could just throw me in jail because well, I did admit to having the one beer that I had. My reply "I'll take as many tests as you ask, but I think it's a fair question to ask what I got on each of the breath tests you give me". When I asked that the other cop came over, heard it and said I was free to go. He was also the one who told me that you could no longer make left turns from the 2 left lanes.
So 'Cops' saved my life because I really wanted to get into the face of that asshole who insisted I take a second test without telling me the results of my first one (which btw, was like 0.02, at the time 0.1 failed you but I think now it's 0.08)

. . . more or less because I've been obsessed with Bonaduce's train wreck of a life since the 80s. I want to meet him some day. I grew up watching The Partridge Family in the 70s and I think he genuinely is a funny and interesting guy to hear speak.
You can't help but think some of that is staged, though. How can a marriage go on that long and then devolve into divorce within the span of a reality show filming?

I am not sure who I feel more sorry for--Bonaduce or his wife. I cannot believe that this is being shown on TV (or that I am watching it)--I feel like I am watching a man implode.

21. I watched PMR last night and saw the one with the Buick Century |
|
for the first time.
What the hell does someone need a 300+lb Subwoofer in their car for? They had to take out the entire backseat, add reinforcements to the struts AND put a decibelmeter that warned you when the bass was too loud.
Um, why bother in the first place? That was the first time I thought "I'd be really unhappy if they did that to my car!" I mean, they just turned a Buick Century into basicall a 2-seater PLUS if the kid ever wanted to travel anywhere he'd have no room for luggage. I would have just sold the equipment for cash and have the backseat put back in.

I figured if you need a decible meter, you've gone too far.
There are some things they've done where I just shake my head and go "Um, why??" Like when they put the smoothie maker in some girl's hatchback. Hello...vegetables and fruit + hot sun = GAAAAAACK! Plus, if you don't clean the blender out every time...you see what I'm sayin'.

35. Ok, seriously when they put 4 TV monitors on the OUTSIDE of the car |

That's just begging for someone to steal them unless they had an electroshock security system put on the car.
Plus I thought that was a letdown with the 3 conveyor belts in the trunk for the guy who worked Airport Baggage - what a waste of trunk space.

like when they put monitors in the guy's truck bed and covered it with plexiglass. Sure, it's protected, but god and his dog can see it! Might as well have a "Please Steal Me" sign.

I thought the same exact thing. That's just hankering for someone to break into it and steal it.
Plus, at that point, I have a car with $30k worth of stereo/tv equipment in it. I'd be selling the stuff and buying myself a brand new Toyota Hybrid

I can't sleep afterward, I get so wound up.
I get really attached to certain pairs, or really hate them, and it's frustrating, since no one gets "voted out", the only thing that counts is getting to the next point before anyone else. So sometimes the good guys win, and sometimes the incredibly vapid models win.
