Movies you want to see?
I just saw the trailer for for A History of Violence. David Cronenberg, Viggo Mortenson, Ed Harris, AND William Hurt?? Has anyone seen this? It looks like a good cast and director. Story looks fascinating.

After a summer of duds, are there some good ones coming this fall you want to see?

Hopefully, it will be in Chicago this weekend. I'm very eager to see it.

2. Oh, the title alone sounds interesting. Any details?
Maybe it will make its way to the art theaters up here in Madtown later in the month.

6. Basically...
It's a retelling of Truman Capote's experiences writing "In Cold Blood".

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is supposed to be excellent as Capote.

4. I've seen it.
It's interesting - which can be good and bad. I enjoyed it, but I can definitely see why some people wouldn't. I'd recommend it.

7. Why wouldn't they? Blood and guts? Violence?
Cronenberg can be really hard to take, but I've always liked him.

11. It does have some violence.
I wouldn't say it's over the top, but it's got plenty. It's got a couple of "interesting" sex scenes in it.

But my comment has more to do with the plot. I don't want to give anything away, but it has some twists and turns in it that you may or may not expect.

13. King Kong...is that the one Peter Jackson is doing?
Is Doom like the video game? That's the one about Mars, right? I don't know the game, but the title conjured up images of the game. What's Sound of Thunder?

14. Greatest Game Ever Played.
I think that's the title. It's a Disney movie(the only thing we ever see in my house) and it's based on a true story. The critics say it's pretty good and family appropriate w/o boring adults.

16. With a child on the way, I will have to be more educated about
family films. Thanks for pointing this one out.
