Anyone watching "Over There"?
I like the show, but I've noticed it doesn't get mentioned much, which is kind of surprising, considering the interest in Iraq. It's definitely pro-soldier, but it doesn't pull its punches about what soldiers are facing over there. I've read some comments from people in Iraq who seem to like it.

What are people's impression? (It's the FX series about life of our soldiers and their families back home).

1. one of my favorites (spoilers)
I was so happy for the Sgt when he got some with the french lady, especially after the previews made it look like she died.

Seriously though, i love how it portrays life in Iraq, the creators make no bones about it that life "over there" is hell and our soldiers are a second away from snapping under the pressure.

3. That's what I love about it...
I think the reason it isn't talked about is that it has so successfully managed to be non-partisan. It's real without being judgmental.

I doubt conservatives like it much, considering the "real" part. It doesn't seem to make any statement about whether we're winning or losing, or whether being there is the right choice. But it shows how easy it is for a cultural misunderstanding to set back your mission, and how hard it is to win hearts and minds.

I recommend it.

2. I watch it.
From what I have seen it is pro-soldier but anti-war. On the last episode they talked about how they were there due to lies. It was right before the bomb was tossed into the truck.

I missed that.
