2. I was 12 or 13 at the time. I guess I might have said something like
"KISS Rules!"

Which of course, looking back on it now with the sage eyes of an adult, is not true.

3. I went to a KISS show in the Maracanã that year!
I was a bit older than 13, which makes it all the more embarassing in retrospect.

6. Halford's gay.
No, really, I mean he's gay.

A couple of months ago, one of my son's friend was riding down to Hammond to a movie. I had Queen in the CD player, and son's friend said, "I don't listen to Queen. I hate him." Ok. Him? Ok.

So I replied, "Why do you hate Queen?"

He said, "Because he's GAY!"

I said, you don't like Queen because Freddy's GAY??? He said, "Yes, that's gross, and if you listen to gay music, then you are gay."

And I said, "So don't you listen to Manson?" And he said, "Yeah, so what?"

And I said, "Did you know that Manson's GAY?" And you like Judas Priest, too, right? And he said, "Yeah."

And I said, "Well Rob Halford's GAY."

So, anyway, that's my story.

10. I just met them
This past Wednesday night. A friend won tickets and back stage passes and took me!
The show was great, they played Diamonds and Rust, oldie but goodie... Rob Halford looks way different with street clothes on. He was a nice guy.

Priest rocks!!

8. in 1983
I think it was '83 or '84 that I went to my first concert. Lita Ford opened for Ratt who opened for Twisted Sister at the Agora Ballroom in West Hartford, CT.

It was a frackin' awesome concert.
