T. Monk Quartet & John Coltrane: Live at Carnegie Hall November 29, 1957
One of the best new albums I have purchased in some time! Highly recommended to the Monk or Coltrane fan.

1. Monk's Mood
2. Evidence
3. Crepuscule with Nellie
4. Nutty
5. Epistrophy
6. Bye-Ya
7. Sweet and Lovely
8. Blue Monk
9. Epistrophy (incomplete take)

1. I'll have to pick that up soon.
Interesting story behind it -- apparently, it was discovered by accident earlier this year, then remastered.

I was surprised (and happy) that it was ranked in Amazon's top 5 sellers.

3. One of the advantages of jazz is cheap vinyl.
The last time I was in NYC, I stopped by a Brooklyn coffee shop/record store and picked up ten LPs (Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Jimmy Smith, Charlie Parker, Modern Jazz Quartet, Sonny Rollins and others) for less than $40.

I do have more jazz CDs than LPs, though.
