Question for anyone who owns the "Amadeus - Director's Cut" DVD set |
|
I'm going to get the director's cut, and I'm wondering if I should order the original DVD at the same time.
Does the director's cut DVD set offer the option of seeing the film without the added scenes?
In other words, is purchasing both titles the only way to own the original 1984 release and the director's cut?

1. I have the director's cut. |
|
It has many more scenes (Twenty more minutes) than the video tape version (That I saw).
From the cover: Interactive Menus Cast/Character Career Highlights-Theatrical Trailer-Scene Access-English or French and other language options in subtitles.
PM me if you wish.

The "new" material is indicated as such in the scene selection screens. However, I don't recall if they are completely isolated, or if new material is included in the same chapters as old material.
I quite like the Director's Cut, so I never bothered to get the original. Isn't the original only available on a two-sided disc?

Yes, but I'm not going to watch that entire movie in one sitting anyway.
