Wish us luck. Hubby is going in for surgery tomorrow morning,

and will emerge sans gall bladder, appendix, and his left kidney. The docs found a mass in the kidney which they believe to be cancerous. Since he is in renal failure already, he immediately goes on dialysis. With any luck he will feel better.

Then we get to assess where we are going. He will be visiting the dialysis clinic three times per week once he is out of the hospital. So both of our lives and schedules will be very different.

Breathe, I keep telling myself.

See you all back in several days. Since we live in a rural area the hospital is "over the hill".

I wish you and hubby all the best. I find anticipation is the worst part of anything. The new schedule will no doubt suck, but it will become routine and ordinary- like lots of life.
