5. Turkey is just pointless
It has no flavour - that's why the various extraneous matter is needed, to compensate for the fact that the meat is just big and devoid of taste.

To improve on chicken go to roast duck - or indeed to other game birds such as pheasant, partridge &c.

Or onto real animals - roast pork, roast beef, roast lamb, roast venison.

I really really like roast chicken, but Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday.
