Curious if anyone has any advice.
If information in a document is deemed exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act by a federal agency, but the substance of the document has been disclosed previously (leaked) by someone in the same agency to another party, can an argument be made that the document itself is no longer exempt?
And I'm not talking about classified information (there's an EO concerning that, and the answer would be "no"). I'm wondering about documents shielded from release by the "expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings" part of the code....?

but I did see of re-run of Matlock in a bar last night. The sound was off, but I think I got the jist of it...
no, just kidding.
I am, however, starting law school in the fall, so I don't know jack diddly squat about FOIA or anything else right now - but I'll keep my eyes peeled for you.
