A HEN'S night out ended in disaster when the bride and six of her friends were arrested at an Adelaide strip club.

About a dozen women, mostly circus performers, were celebrating the pending marriage of Wonona West on Tuesday night when they decided to visit the Crazy Horse Revue, on Adelaide's seedy Hindley Street.
Jan Lennon, mother of the bride, said the trouble started after one of the women tripped outside the premises, prompting the bouncer to refuse her entry to the club because he believed she was drunk.

The women, many of whom work for the Stardust Circus, which is on tour in Adelaide, begged to be allowed in "just for 15 minutes, to say they had been to the Crazy Horse," Ms Lennon said outside the court.

Police were called to the strip club, which has female strippers, at 12.30am and seven women were arrested, including the bride-to-be, who is believed to have been involved in an incident with a female police officer.

Ms Lennon said the situation had been blown out of proportion, and that her daughter was devastated by the events.
