you all have been good friends and true, so I owe you at least part of an explanation.

They're not sure if it's because the medication has kept the pain knocked down well enough that it's masking a worsening of the nerve damage, or if The Monster In The Closet is creeping out into the room after 25 years of staying hidden in there with the dust bunnies and stray socks...

Whichever, I don't have a lot of choice, it seems, in keeping the computer time (especially typing) down to the essential amount I need to keep my business running. So recreational keyboard-pounding, much as I'd like to keep denying the facts, is no longer an option.

At least for a while until this latest OFTAA* gets sorted out.

It would be an awful temptation for me to check in now and again to see the latest insurrections and general mayhem around the Funny Farm, but how the hell can you read the threads and not give in to the urge to post?

Ah, well, I need to get caught up on my reading anyway, and I hear there's some good stuff on TV these days...

Do what you need to do to feel better again. You'll be missed. There's a large, dysfunctional element to this place at times that can skew one's perspective.
