My pommie Marigold Bunnypants has a big, as in huge, brother -- Run Forrest Run the Greyhound, who I adopted from a rescue group.
I knew I would really like a greyhound, but I was not prepared for being totally goony and like a kid again over this magnificent animal.
Only problem is -- Marigold, who is possessive of me to begin with, is a bit cross and growls at Forrest, who backs away timidly, although he is many times her size. Any suggestions about how to proceed?

1. Hopefully, the two will work it out, together. |
|
If not, the offender must go.
I feel sad when I think about greyhounds, because their lifespan is so short. :(

6. They will work it out. Whatever you do, don't react to their BS antics. |
|
It will only encourage weirdness. Don't accidently create situations where they can squabble -- feed separately, equal affection. Switch their blankets so they acceept each others smells.

3. I, not being a dog person, really want to adopt a greyhound |
|
They are beautiful dogs, and seem so gentle.

We have cats here, and parrots -- and the greyhound ignores them.
I live in suburbia, and we have bunnies roaming everywhere -- and my greyhound ignores them. Mine certainly has a very low predator instinct.
He is very catlike -- He cuddles on the couch with me -- he always has to have at least a paw touching me, and hopefully his head snuggling me.

10. My wife's aunt works for a greyhound rescue in Michigan and she |

always tells us that most greyhounds are "couch potatoes". She told us that they like to be near their people and are pretty quiet and laid back.
We are thinking of adopting one,, but we have a shepard mix who is still very puppyish and might be a bit overwhelming.

7. I guess treat Mari like any older child having to deal with |

a new baby in the house. Aren't Pom's descended from terriers? Aggressive and tenacious? RFR may be bigger but he was bred to be benign and to run fast.
