pass the ball around for 90 minutes? I can watch that in practice. Any sport where the best match ever can be summed up in two minutes of highlights, and you didn't miss much is a bit off.

oh, and you'd rather a sport where two teams play for 120+ minutes without scoring at all, and then the game is decided by a shootout in which the offense scores 95% of the time? why not decide basketball games by shooting free throws? or playing darts? or flip a farcking coin?

My younger niece, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, is spending two weeks in Baton Rogue working on hurricane relief with FEMA. The gummint -- typically -- is not putting her abilities to maximum use, but she is happy to be there doing something positive for people who need it. She was missed tonight, but we are extremely proud of her.
