9. Drat. you beat me to it! |

That was practically what I was going to say. That guy needs to get some self-respect. :) Either that, or he needs to figure out ways of...uh...chastising his superiors without coming up for immediate courts-martial. One way or the other, je suppose!

2. I fail to see anything comical about it. |
|
Perhaps someone can explain it to me. But in any case I see nothing wrong with the Air force. Even though I did my share of making fun of them when I was in the Marine Corps.

4. did you miss the minature F-16? |
|
If the Marines wheeled out a 1/8th AAV I'd laugh just as hard, how about a 1/12th scale battleship for the Navy?

11. The Navy doesn't even use battleships anymore |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-07-03 10:34 PM by Daisuke_Jigen
Floating gun platforms lacking smart ammunition have absolutely no place in modern naval warfare. The closest thing do a battleship the navy posseses would be light cruisers or destroyers. I just thought I would share that info. I like to think of myself as an ameteur military historian. Forgive the brief off topic digression.

10. I was IN the Air Force |
|
and believe me, they would have had to put an M-16 against my head to sit in that silly thing!
FYI, his rank shows him as a Tech Sergeant, or an E-6 if I recall my ranks correctly. A 20 year NCO.

Inquiring minds want to know since "Our Glorious Leader" set the standard in that area and the media seemed to have no shame in pointing it out to us. I wonder if it is now a standard.
ON Edit: when I was in USAF even the threat of court martial couldn't get me in a ridiculous thing like that. A Tech Sergeant! I can't believe he is *enjoying* that
