My cat just broke my phone
He came barrel-assing into my office and got tangled in the recharger wire, which was plugged into the phone. The phone flew across the room and smacked the floor. Now, even though the charger is plugged into the phone and the wall, the phone no longer indicates it is getting current from the plug. I think he broke the plug slot in the phone. I've tried it on other plugs in the house, but no soap.

I must mention that my cat is 2 and 1/2 feet long and 20+ pounds. Not a small animal.

1. Another battle in the war for feline supremacy won.
They'll build statues to Boomer someday. Well, if the squrrels will help out with their opposable thumbsand all.

8. No photos of the carnage, what?
Tsk. Plato and Socrates want to see pictures of anyone who's bigger than they are (18 and 20 lbs, respectively). :hi:

Plato and Socrates also sleep upside-down like that. It's really cool.

Thanks for the pics!

I'd say he was beautiful..but he'd probably kick my ass. :scared:

Seriously, he's a cutie..and you can tell he's definitely king of the house.
Have you asked him where he'd like you to put the phone?

14. What were you THINKING charging the phone with THAT outlet anyway?

Geez. Maybe if you had shown a little respect and asked him where he wanted you to charge the phone, this little situation of ours wouldn't have happened. Capisca?

17. Feed him your cell phone.
He's trying to tell you he's hungry.

My cats are on a mission to destroy everything of value I have ever owned and to make sure that all important papers on my desk or book cases are on the floor instead.

18. That's not far wrong
Edited on Sun Apr-23-06 10:46 AM by WilliamPitt
I noticed him getting more than a little chubby lately - my fault, he attacks me if I come home from the store without a tin of wet food, and I have been succumbing to the onslaught - so I have him on a diet. Bear in mind that this is the beast that flips out and goes all feral-wacky on me if he can see even the tiniest bit of the bottom of his bowl. He's now on a cup-a-day diet, and he ain't pleased about it.

19. Sorry about your phone.
My Mac kitty is an 18 pounder, and the main reason I have given up on bureau scarves. He takes a running start, hits the cloth and everything on it goes sliding/crashing to the floor, including Mac. He always looks surprised and a little indignant when it happens.

21. I hate cats
I was on the phone for 45 minutes with the phone company trying to straighten out a $275 billing snafu (after 2 hours and several other calls).

I finally got to talk to someone who seemed to know what was going on.

"Okay, I think I've found the problem. It seems that.."

I waited

And waited

Silence.

Then I looked over, and saw our kitten, sitting with the phone cord threaded through her paws, chewing on it, looking at me like "what?". And yes, she had severed the connection. And no, I never found the guy who figured out our problem. And yes, she's laying right here on the computer desk, snoring away happily.

I hate them.

23. LOL! Every time one of mine busts something up, that's what I say.
I glare at the offender and yell "I HATE CATS!" And the cat just blinks and licks his privates. He knows I don't mean it.
