1. I dunno about CO, but loved his lecture here in AZ. |
|
He is a great speaker! The crowd, or what there was of one considering it's AZ in July, was very receptive to him.

Good turnout....Will was on Enid Goldstein's talk show from 5-6, and spoke at 7. I talked to several people who came specifically as a result of hearing him on the radio.
The sponsoring group had comments cards available-here's a sampling:
"Challenging" "answers my feelings that I am being betrayed by our President and his government," "I'm not so alone in my beliefs -- glad to know there are others out there who see something is terribly wrong with the direction this country is taking" "better than what I expected -- hard-hitting" "I will try to get more informed of REAL NEWS"
He also recommended DU. :)
Favorite quote: "Don't blame George.....that's like blaming Mickey Mouse when Disney does something wrong".

He didn't delve into much that I didn't already know by reading this site, and his, but he presented them in refreshing arguments. The pews in the church were also more comfortable than the metal folding chairs that I was expecting.
I think he would've talked forever (which wouldn't be a problem with me), but the sponsors (the Just Dessert people) had to cut him short so he can sign books. I bought 2.
He does look younger than me, which pisses me off!!! I guess I'm going to have to start getting used to the fact that I'm getting into the age where there will be more brilliant 'young'ins' in the future. What a strange feeling.

6. ACK! I was deamed "The Watch Tapper" when Will was in Delaware |
|
not that I wanted to be tapping my watch; my SpongeBob Squarepants watch was not meant to cause great distress, but we had to get the meeting finished.

7. Presentation was great--eloquent and funny |
|
lots of supporting applause.
Where were the other DUers? I expected a dozen to show up at the Rock Bottom after the response Will got when he mentioned us.
Just me and my hubby got to palaver with the great man and his entourage. (Put that in to give Will a giggle) We mainly taked about DU and the Great Green/Dem Flaming Schism.
