At least 8 out of 10 players I've been with on stage with hold their axe that way when they are taking a ride. Mostly to impress the girls because well, yes its supposed to look like what everyone thinks it looks like. :shrug:

I frankly got sick of seeing these big-name acts come out and just sort of slop their way through a performance just because they know they can. But Prince was on fire yesterday. He set the bar higher for everyone else to follow.

I think it was just Prince behind the silohuette - Prince does'nt spend a lot of time on making controversy anymore. Half of his songs he does'nt even sing anymore because of the sexual content. I just don't see anything - he was just playing the guitar.

but wow, it was a great half time show compared to what they usually have. He's a great player and performer.

And the opening with Cirque de Soleil? That was lovely too. I turned to my husband and said, What, has hell frozen over? It looked like the opening of the Olympics and that's a nice offset to all the testosterone.
