Okay, so why do people have hair?

After shaving, doesn't that prove the hair wasn't necessary in the first place?

So why was hair invented?

1. Hair is a form of protection from bacteria!

Although, I don't know that that is the case on the head. But nose hairs, and other, ahem, hairs protect us from bacteria!
