What jewelry do you never take off?
I have a toe ring on each second toe, and they never come off. Rings and earrings annoy me when I'm sleeping, so those come off, but if I have a necklace on, I usually leave it for weeks.

What about you?

1. My rings never come off...
Earrings only come out when they start to bother me -- usually takes a few weeks. Then they don't go back in for months -- maybe even years. Necklaces don't come off either.

Day. They come off to be cleaned only.

4. I have 2 rings I never take off
My wedding ring and a simple gold band. The gold band (not a wedding ring) was the only jewelry my mother was wearing when she died. I took it off her finger and put it on mine.

The only time I take them off is when I mash up meatloaf. :D

11. Meatloaf!!! Exactly!!
Yep, me too--I ONLY take my wedding ring off to make meatloaf because I also use my hands to mix it up. There is nothing quite like picking meatloaf out of a diamond mounting to ensure you take those rings off before you mix!!!

10. don't wear rings anymore after I caught one working a cattle chute
Edited on Thu Feb-22-07 12:04 PM by Kali
that kind of wised me up. I usually wear a chain with a sentimental object until it wears through or the chain breaks (right now a small oval Hopi overlay pendant with a rainbird, my Hamsa wore out) and I have 5 small loops in my ears. One has two prehistoric beads on it, a tiny seed bead of red coral and the other turquois about the size of a fingernail, with the hole drilled off center so it is like a small pendant. Those never come off. If (rarely) I wear other earings I just put them through the same holes. I have a few rings and bracelets I wear "out" but usually forget them.

All my jewelry is silver.

edit: oops, meant to post reply to OP

14. They bugged me for the first few days too.
But then you can't feel them at all. My left toe ring has been on so long (10+ years) that there is a little groove worn into the underside of my toe where it fits!

15. Wedding ring
It probably needs to come off at the jewler and get buffed and cleaned. It even has some house paint on it. Then again maybe the scratches and nicks and paint are appropriate. I suppose in a way it's kinda symbolic of all the stuff you go through in a marriage.

Other than that I hate wearing any jewelry. I've gotten nice watches, but I never end up wearing them very often. It always feels weird and uncomfortable to me to wear watches or necklaces or bracelets.

For some reason, I've never dated a "jewelry" guy. A watch at the most, usually not even that.

Once in a great while I'll take it off for... something.
The ear chain comes out before I go to bed. I'm ascairt of losin' it in my sleep, or of getting it caught on somethin'. :scared:

30. All my jewelry comes off.
After two years of marriage, wearing rings still drives me nuts. I started taking them off in my sleep, and I would wake up and find them under the bed or under the dog, so I always just take them off at bedtime. I also remove them before handling food.

I guess I could never be a "Ringo." :)
