Is this what marriage is?
Seriously, when I got married I did not envision every single weekend just sitting around. I'm only 27, isn't that a bit early to be not doing anything? Sigh.. at least I got a new job starting monday- and the hours put me off schedule from my husband a bit... hooray!

1. Yeah marriage can be like that
or worse. Individuals need their own personal space.

5. Yes, if you let it.
I like doing things on the weekends, but my husband is the original couch potato. He gave up on spontaneity and adventure not long after we married. :wtf: He expected me to do what he wanted to do, which was sit around the house all weekend. The first few times, it was kinda nice and relaxing. After that, though, it got really old. You need your own space, and if he won't do things with you, do them by yourself or with a friend. :) Don't give up on what you like to do. It's too early at any age. :)

My work schedule is different from my husband's, and it's nice to have at least a little time to myself. I think he'd prefer if we were joined at the hip, but that's too smothering.:yoiks:

6. I am a lucky woman -- barely have time for anything else except --

my husband's rigorous schedule of travel and my film forays and radio program each week. We've been married for 34 years! He never sits still for very long.

I'm sorry you seem so young and so bored -- hope you find some wonderful things to do in the future. Perhaps you can jumpstart things with your own activities. I hope so.

In peace,

Radio Lady in Oregon
