Nobody's saying he won't run, just... not right now.
He can jump in in October or November and still be an effective candidate.

I can see lots of reasons for holding off. With the book tour and then the Nobel Prize coming up he needs to milk the celebrity bit for a while and THEN jump into the race. He's getting tons of positive exposure and none of the back stabbing (or very little) that's going on with the other candidates.
