Has this ever happened before?
I am using an online dating service. I also have braces. Part of the dating service is that they send you an email of guys who "match" the details you provide.

One of the guys was my orthodondist (who is very close to my age.)

And basically all of my friends (except one who met him when he gave me a ride to the office) have said I should date him (not going to because that is just weird.) Has anyone else have something like this happen?

1. No, but why do you find that weird?
I mean the coincidnece is strange, but he could be the one. You never know.

4. According to Ben (my pal who has seen him), I intimidate the guy.
A lot.

And I just find the idea of dating someone who messes with my mouth every three weeks kind of strange. He is Dr. ____ to me. I cannot even think of him as _____.

2. I don't think the coincidence is a dealbreaker
Of course, if there are limited orthodontics options where you live, I might be wary of losing a doctor. Beyond that, I don't see any wierdness - it's not like he's your gynecologist (or urologist for us guys).

I might also want to consider why the one friend who actually met the guy says no...

5. He says no because I intimidate the orthodondist.
Not because Ben is interested in me.

3. Well, it's an interesting coincidence, that's for sure.
But then again, that's often how people meet each other: by serendipity. My question is, do you find him interesting?

6. Well he does not like politics, and he coaches girls volleyball.
So I have no idea what we would talk about on a date. Unless we went to a baseball game or something.
