2. Quite some time ago...IIRC

Skinner sent an e-mail (or was it an entire thread?) to try to collectively group together folks willing to write letters, etc when an action alert went out. If you wanted to take part, you replied that you wanted to be a member. I believe it spawned the Activist HQ Forum. I'm hoping when DU 3.0 (?) rolls out, it'll be more active.
