Iz making Chili for the Pats game tomorrow! |
|
:bounce:
It's been a while since we made it, so I'm gonna be winging it. I should really write things down, hehe...I did find my ingredients list from last time, so that should be enough. Tomorrow morning it's off to the market and the butcher!

1. Hey you...ever make your chili with a mixture of ground and diced beef? |
|
The textural difference is great. Dice the beef to about 1/2 inch cubes, no bigger, and the diced beef should be no more than about 1/4 of the total beef by weight.
I made a pot of basic chili myself this week. :hi:

6. Cheap round or chuck steak. |
|
It becomes really tender because of the small size and long cooking. If you have time throw it in the freezer for half an hour to firm it up ---makes it much easier to dice.
