7. Fucking Chimpified FCC |
|
You don't even hear the N word in rap songs anymore. And between that and the already censored profanity, that doesn't leave a lot of words that actually make it on the air.
The FCC fucking with modern content is bad enough. To butcher classics like "Blazing Saddles" or a song that's been on classic rock radio for 35 years (i.e. Pink Floyd's "Money") is unconscionable.

13. That bugs me about the songs too. |
|
When the songs were originally out ("Money" included), they were aired uncensored. Then all of a sudden years later they start to censor them. WTF!

12. They also don't show the farting scene properly |
|
They show it, but don't let you hear the farts. I think they put in horse sounds instead, IIRC.

When asked in a television interview if anything was so offensive it had to be cut from the movie, however, Mel Brooks confided that one bit between Madeline Kahn and Cleavon Little had to be edited. In the darkened dressing room when Lili asks Bart if it's "twue" what they say about black men and then she says "it's twue, it's twue!", he cut Bart's punchline of "I'm sorry to disappoint you, miss, but you're sucking on my arm."
