Is there a way to format a range of large $$ numbers to appear as a decimal?
In other words, how would I set a custom format so that $ 81,453,221,000 shows up as $81.45 B?
Thanks a bunch for your help, guys!

2. Select the cell the number is in |

Hit "Crtl-1" or right-click the cell and select "Format Cell"
Select the "Number" tab
Select "Currency" in the left box, then use the arrows to increase "Decimal places" to 2.
The column should resize to accommodate the number, but you can do that manually as well.
I entered your value into my version of Excel here at work (2003), and it didn't add the "B" at all - just displayed the full value as entered.
