I mean we all had our favorites but there was at least some civility between the various supporters for folks like Dean, Clark, Kucinich, Kerry, Lieberman (yeah there were a few) et al.
What the hell happened in 4 years?

Seven years of Bush has taken its toll on everyone.
Not that it's an excuse.
But since Bush has been in office, civility has gone down the drain at a rapid pace and everyone's feeling the heat.

It's probably a combination of factors. Trolls, a more desperate need to win this year, more voices clamoring in different directions, ect.
And of course there are a few borderline trolls that have managed to not quite cross the lines too far and have not yet been booted.
