1. Paula is a hack. My grandmothers could have easily whooped her ass |
|
I am tired of her being equated to Savannah as the end all, be all of cooking. Lady and Son' sux

My "Gramma" could have whooped your Grandmothers, and Paula Deen with one arm tied behind her back! ;-)
Seriously, my "Gramma" (my Mom's Mother) was the best cook in our whole big family, including all the uncles, aunts and cousins.
She died in 1989, and I still miss her spritz cookies... :9

Cool it in a pan, cut chunks out, dip in egg/milk (can't remember), bread and deep fry. :wtf:

5. She seems to be getting weirder |
|
I kind of liked some of the stuff on her show when I first saw it but now the show is sort of a joke.

7. Just like any other cook..I appreciate her perspective. And I think she's cute. |
|
I don't cook much from her recipes because they are just so dang fat laden.
But she has an interesting life story and I admire her personality.

|
I'm from the south and she has worn that shit out. Stop the freaking act.

11. She cooks with canned soup. |
|
I am not Southern but somehow I doubt that is considered true Southern cooking.
I like rich food as much as the next person but do you really need to put 4 sticks of butter into one batch of brownies?

We've never attempted any of her recipes, but she does have the metabolism to handle Deep-Fried Mac & Cheese.

That was kind of a trip :P
Her voice rubs me wrong some way. I can't put a finger on it, but I love what she cooks. Well, I would if I were there :)

Not only in the kitchen, but everything that she has overcome just makes me love her (She overcame agoraphobia to take care of her kids. It's a beautiful story). She's so strong and hilarious. She's so delightful. Duckie
