It looks like Blair Godzilla Project.

1. I hate movie theaters. As soon as it comes out on DVD, I'm there.

5. It was either that or No Country for Old Men . .

I went with No Country for Old Men

I might go see Cloverfield tommorrow depending on how things go.

Edit: Although if it's anything other than a giant mutated badger I will be highly dissappointed ;).

6. I said exactly the same thing to my wife when I saw...
...one of the trailers on TV. All that intense closeup, jiggly-camera, flickery lighting schtick. Just like BWP, except with a big monster it'll no doubt take 90 minutes to reveal.

8. Saw it. It's krrrrep
My son treated me to a matinee showing.

The joke is true. It IS the Blair Godzilla Project. Oh, it doesn't have Blair's cheapjack production, there are actually a couple of good BOO moments, a couple of good WHOA moments. But it's as overhyped and forgettable as Blair. And it's probably the world's first made-for-YouTube movie, the experience really isn't much greater on a louder, larger screen. If they'd premiered it on the web, it'd be considered some sort of milestone. In the cinema, it's just clangorous cheese.

Of course, your mileage will vary (the critical reviews are surprisingly kind). However...

My son lives for this sort of stuff. The last movie he saw was the awful AVPII and he loved it. Cloverfield made him peevish.

The matinee house was near full. When the last scene played out, the collective groan sounded almost choreographed and had everyone giggling.

10. I loved it..... but I'm a big movie buff
The comparison to Blair Witch is silly in my opinion.
