8. Time to explain to the people who might not know: The name of the band is NOT based |
|
on, shall we say, big tits, but on the instrument one of the guys played. I don't remember the official name, but it was an instrument you blew into, then pressed keys such as might be found on a miniature organ.
You can hear it clearly in the song "And We Danced."
A terrific band, who should have found wider success.

10. I lived outside Philly before they went national |
|
I remember standing in line for hours at the mall to get their autograph on "Nervous Night".
They actually did try to branch out after their first album, and it cost them any popularity they had.

13. Where outside Phila? I lived in the Phila suburbs from 1965-1980, on and off. |
|
I first heard about the Hooters because my sister-in-law's brother worked for them as a sound guy for quite a few years.

12. Technically, they never broke up. |
|
They've been doing shows in Europe every summer for a while now, and I believe this album has been out there since July.
I saw them in November, and it was brilliant, as always.
(P.S. I thought you were talking about the Yaz reunion.)
