Hot diggity damn Lounge, you did it.
Yesterday, I asked for vibes, thoughts and good wishes for one of my rescues that had a very large mass in her abdomen.

Thread here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=7394360&mesg_id=7394360

She was admitted last night, and they started with a long blood transfusion. Once stabilized, they started surgery.

Against all odds, and much to the surprise of 3 vets and 2 very happy (and tired) rescuers, the mass was removed. She's under observation for a couple days, but she should be home soon.

And I mean home. As I stated in my *UPDATE* in the original thread, thinking she may not make it, I officially adopted her. That's not going to change.

So thank you Lounge for those positive thoughts. I know that I, but more importantly SHE, appreciates them.

14. Yep, as I suspected...you are still a hero
I missed the thread where you called for the Lounge Love...I would have added mine as well. Soooo many bad stories as of late, it is good to hear one turn out for the better.

An update on the two pups a friend and I rescued: They are fat and happy in loving homes. Jezebel, (mother of pups) also grows fat but that would be because my friend and I feed her at least once a day and she gets a great meal each time. She even looks like a normal dog these days. We are working on finding her a good home too but in the meanwhile at least she ain't going hungry or thirsty.

It truly is good to hear your tale of success, you are indeed one of the "good guys".
My best wishes to you and yours.

I'm so glad flvegan and so glad you're going to keep her.

You know, each time our dog had his surgery, they didn't think he'd make it either. His 2nd splenetic tumor, he actually had to have two surgeries since the vet decided she couldn't remove it after she had him open and thought it was into his liver. He came home with a pain patch on his neck that Friday and on Monday went to another city and another vet who removed the tumor with no problem.
