Do only outdoorsy folks get genital herpes? |
|
The Valtrex ads always show people outdoors and I wonder if the couch potato, computer geeks, or barfly types are immune to the disease.
I think they are the funniest ads on TV.

2. Well, according to the Cialis commercials, the only guys who can't get it up are |
|
guys who sit in a bathtub in the middle of a field, next to their wife, who's sitting in her own bathtub.

WHAT IS WITH THE TWO BATHTUBS?
Seriously. I have seen a million of those commercials, and they ALL have the couple in two bathtubs. Is it just too obscene for them to be in the same tub? What is with these artfully placed bathtubs, anyway?
Am I missing something here? aaaAAARGH...

3. LOL ... and why don't they ever show the person that gave it to him? |
|
Man: "I (hesitate) have genital herpes." Woman: "And I don't." Cartman's Mom: "And I (hesitate) am the one that gave it to him." Man: "And we want to keep it that way."

6. What I especially like... |
|
...is the way Valtrex seemingly doesn't actually do anything. The ad says that, even with the drug, people shouldn't stop taking precautions and that herpes can still be transmitted, even with no visible signs of an outbreak.
What earthly difference, therefore, would taking this drug make to a herpes sufferer's life? They'd still have to take exactly the same safer-sex precautions and can never be sure they aren't infectious.
But I'll bet Valtrex has some lovely side effects, too, so the drug is actually worse than nothing.
