Deb and I are now addicted to "House, M.D." |
|
The crotchety Vicodin addicted House reminds both of us how much we loathe about 90% of the Human Race, and as a chronic pain sufferer, he speaks to my "wish-I-had-some-drugs" soul.
We saw ONE episode, and after nearly dragging the screen down to the floor from the commercials, we went out the next day and bought the first season on disk.
Any other addicts out there?

4. House speaks to my inner "asshole." |
|
That's FIGURATIVE asshole. Then again, if it wasn't then it wouldn't be INNER, would it?

6. We are about 1/2 way through the first season.... |
|
And we only bought the damned thing on Saturday.
House would be ashamed of us...or not.

I, too, am a "House, MD" addict. Wish I had a doctor just like him.

8. I love the first three seasons. |
|
But I never cared for any of the new doctors, and don't miss the current season at all.

13. He had to "soften up" for the current season... |
|
His ratings were going down so the producers told the writers to give him some "human emotion".

I recently saw the Sela Ward episodes for the first time, and the "emotion" of that whole story arc struck me as hollow, artificial, and sort of shoehorned into the show.
He's much better as a misanthropic quasi-hermit, IMO.
Regardless, his friendship with Wilson is about the most real male:male interaction that I can currently find on air.

CHASE: "Really?"
HOUSE: "No, you idiot!"
