I recently got my husband to watch a couple of episodes of PR. However, we were watching while getting totally inebriated at Johnny Walker's (a dive bar off of Bourbon St., NOLA). I dunno if that had anything to do with his fascination.

...is the first reality show I've ever watched, and this season is the first time. And it's amazing. I was surprised to see Mr. Manners on The Daily Show. I saw the divas yesterday... was that the only episode after denim? I missed last week.
I think Chris is going to win it. Christian in second place and Jillian? (the girl with curly hair who did the twizzlers skirt.)
what's a "power bottom?" I know what a bottom is... but the other part is beyond me.
I was held captive by two young children for a decade or so and missed anything that occurred in civilization. I was forced to listen to Raffi and watch Muppets Take Manhattan with toothpicks jacking open my eyelids. really. I've learned a lot since then... camel toe... and.. uh...ummmmm... that's all I can name right now.:yoiks:

Denim was episode 9 and the divas was episode 10.
I have picked the same top three you have, but I think Christian will take it with Chris in second and Jillian in third. But having watched the show all four years, it can SURE surprise you.
I still havent gotten over Kara Saun (sp?) taking second place in the first season.

according to an interview I read last year. He had a very bad scare with a former partner who died of AIDS, and has evidently not been involved since.
I hope that he will meet someone that he'll fall in love with. He's too wonderful to be alone. Of course, this is IMHO.

Honest to God. What did he think the challenge was going to be like?
I would LOVE to see Mr. Kors step up to the plate and make a garment out of trash, candy wrappers, Spandex, or any of the other ridiculous challenges they've had this season. I don't think he could do it, frankly.
In the meantime, every second they're focusing on him is one more second we're not getting the divine Tim Gunn.

49. That is what is beginning to BUG me about PR. |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-08-08 10:09 PM by AngryOldDem
The challenges are getting ridiculous, and the time restraints the designers are being put under are equally so. In past seasons, the wackier projects were at least tasteful and practical -- I'm thinking of (off the top of my head) the live flower challenge (there were some beautiful dresses there) and the Sasha Cohen figure skating costume challenge (and the postal service challenge in Season 1).
This season we get candy-bar wrappers and cartoon clothing, and someone -- was it Kors or Garcia? -- has the nerve to point out that one designer's costume did look cartoony. Well, what did they expect? If I were the designers, I would be feeling pretty insulted.
I still watch it but only if I happen to have Bravo on when it's on. I liked PR a lot up until this season, but a lot is beginning to really rub me the wrong way. This crop of designers (with the exception of Chris) is really irritating -- I'm just glad they were able to keep Tim Gunn for one more go-round. But since he's got his own gig now with a design house (forget which one, but he's no longer at Parsons School, from what I've heard) and plus his own show, I jsut wonder how much longer they'll be able to keep him.
I agree with you -- Kors has always struck me as being too smug and way too impressed with himself.
(But I will probably make a point to watch next week, because I think Christian is heading for a big smackdown.)
ON EDIT: I believe Tim now has a position at Liz Claiborne. It just came to me after I posted.

with a purple passion. Like another poster said, if he thinks it's so easy, let's see him do it (instead of ripping a designer a new one & then stealing their designs for his next collection).
Case in point: this year, they dissed Chris for having an out-of-date design, yet I went to a fancy-schmancy dinner a few days later & not one, not two, but THREE women were wearing the same neckline & similarly designed dress.

I really don't like PW but my wife watches.
I think his secret is competence. What guy on TV is portrayed as competent anymore? Not too many. He just seems to be a smart guy who knows what he is doing (and isn't that kinda power bottom territory?)
Plus the guy oozes class and grace.
