4. I'm having a hard time figuring that out.
We usually don't do anything, maybe go out to dinner. After 10 years, I think I've run out of ideas.

So if anyone knows what they are getting their guy, I'm all ears.

5. I got one of these for my girlfriend because we're nerds
Luckily I planned ahead of time, because the guy's completely sold out.

http://paulpapedesigns.com/Mii_Chocolate.html

I ordered a white chocolate girl and a milk chocolate one, to represent us. :)

I wasn't sure what to get my boyfriend, since he's not really big on the Valentine's thing. So I just got him a funny card. :)

9. Will all three of you go out together for V-day?

The only poly person i know has a "primary" relationship (i think is what she calls it), and then dates others. But you seem pretty well committed to both your SOs!

Just bein' nosy :)

10. We are kind of scattered about right now
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 06:04 PM by Chovexani
BF is in school in Canada, GF is freezing her tuckus off in Milwaukee 'cause she couldn't get time off work. But she's coming here in a couple of weeks. :)

Our Valentine's "date" will be over video conferencing. It's kind of dumb, we're going to watch bad kung fu movies. :D

Edit: We really are a triad. There's no "primary"/secondary hierarchy. We started off as a "V", with me in the middle, but then it just kind of grew...it works really well for us though because all three of us have been good friends for a long time. And then we just kinda fell for each other. :)

Just got curious and looked up the temp in Milwaukee... 19! *shiver*

Hope you have a fun date! :D

6. An assortment of things.
Homemade (and very fancy) cookies and candy (and beautifully packaged), cooking him a great dinner & dessert, some CDs he's been wanting, a beautiful little bedside book called "Zen Sex," and--the thing I'm guessing he'll be most excited about--a subscription to the Sunday New York Times.

Oh, and me, of course.

14. Get? Nothing. Make? Something. :)
I've dabbled in leatherwork, and I found some nice, soft bright red leather. So I'm going to make a rose. Out of leather. And I'm going to put it in a 3d frame where it can hang or be attached to a piece of leather backing.

I'm still working on a poem or something to go with it, I'm thinking of writing it on the leather backing with dye or something like that. She's of the intellectual persuasion, so I'm thinking of going for a sonnet of some kind.

That, or I could go with my first instinct and write a dirty limerick.

... nah. :P

Hmm... maybe a dirty sonnet...

I think I'd like to see you flash 'dat rack
That sight would surely knock me off the ground
Because they are so nice and firm and round
And then perhaps a quickie in the sack

... nah. :P I don't know if I could go on for all three verses.

Maybe a dirty italian sonnet instead of an english one... slightly different rhyming scheme there...

17. Pearl Necklace
And I don't mean one of those.
She saw a necklace with a pearl pendant that she liked and I got it for her. She doesn't know and I don't normally get this extravagant on Valentines day. She has been so supportive during my cancer and unemployment that now that is in the past I think she deserves something special.
We started dating, for the second time, 32 years ago on Valentines day.

a new (used) truck for my
farming man. His other one
was such a rag, he couldn't
park beside dumpsters on trash
day for fear they would get
his truck. He has had it for
18 years, it uses more oil than
gas, and has cancer (rust holes),
it was time.

And a card. And I'll fix a special dinner if he wants it.

He is usually exhausted from having to remember my birthday when Valentines Day comes around (just four days later). So, I will get:

a) a phone call
b) a song dedicated to me on our morning jazz show (he'll remember it's Valentines Day when he gets in the car and turns the radio on)
c) a carnation that someone is selling out of a bucket at the gas station
d) nothing
