In fact I just hit the repeat on the song and it's on volume 30 (no 31 on iPOD - WAH!!)

1. on your headphones?
You should be careful. You could easily experience hearing loss from doing that.

3. Sweeetie, I started listening to Led Zeppelin at volume 10 with the headphones on about 30 years ago
I think we're a little too late with the damage warning, but thank you anyways!

2. Oooo, thank you. I'm uncomforably numb right now.
Maybe it will change in a few days. I hope so.

4. Sorry, Lynne
I love PF (particularly the Syd Barrett era), but I find "Comfortably Numb" to be singularly depressing.

"The child is grown, the dream is gone."

Thanks for uplift, boy-os.

7. I understand, but
I like my entertainment to temporarily remove me from unfortunate realities, not depress me inutterably, hopeless-style.

I just always found that song too sad and depressing to be enjoyable. YMMV, naturally.

8. have ya heard the Dar Williams / Ani DiFranco version?
Have to admit I had never paid that much attention to the lyrics of the PF song until I heard Dar singing it. Case of a good remake - making you notice and appreciate the original.
