1. Much as we hate it
artists gotta eat too.

BTW don't always assume the artist is getting a cut. If the song has fallen out of copyright, it's open season.

6. Wilco caught some hell for VW using their songs in commercials. But I just thought Wilco
has been putting out great music for a long time and not making a lot of money, or getting a lot of mainstream play. So if this is what they felt they needed to do, I can't hold it against them. I still love their music.
