UnghhhgG! One week off caffeine. |
|
My six-cup-a-day caffeine habit was no longer yielding any effectiveness, so I cut myself off completely for a week. That was fun. I'm hoping that after all the headaches I had to endure, I can now drink a cup of coffee and actually sense a stimulant effect.
In a week, my internship is over, as are finals. I have to find something to occupy myself; I do NOT want to spend another summer sitting on my ass at home.
I took JackMN to the park today. There was another little boy there who was also named Jack. It completely freaked out my Jack.

1. I once went caffeine free for two months |
|
quit cold turkey, like you. The first day was pure HELL with a 12 hr headache off the charts and vomiting, to boot.
Major detox, I guess. I was hooked on the shit.
I eventually worked my way to caffeinated green tea....
Anyway, I'm happily back on the coffee bandwagon again. Drinking at least 1 very strong cup a day. That's about it.
I figure everybody needs to have at least one vice. :D

It sounds as though you suffered a bit more than I did! I wasn't nearly as tired as I thought I'd be; the headaches were the only real miserable part for me.

I can't some to terms with the idea of being entirely chemical free. It just doesn't sound appealing.
