Hog Heaven: Weekend Full of Baseball!

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs debuted on Friday. They're a new team in the independent AtLantic League (AA-AAA caliber ball). Their terrific new stadium is a mile from my house.



We're hosting a player, so we literally get all the free tix we want. We'd bought a 25-game package before we knew about player hosting, but all that means now is that we can give our own tix away.



The Blue Crabs swept the Lancaster Barnstormers this weekend. We left Saturday's game in the eighth because we could no longer take the drunken party just a few seats over. We finally heard the fireworks at about 12:30 -- that game went 13 innings and our player got the win. :bounce:

PS I can no longer eat so many hot dogs . . . six in three days is too many. But god, those are the best ballpark hot dogs I've ever had.

PPS Of course, we're going to tonight's game too, and maybe tomorrow's. :bounce:

our player, Derrick, is in it. But we do have the office and an air bed. You'd have all the hospitality we can possibly give you.

I don't know where you are, but if you're in driving distance for a weekend, I'm serious.
