Am I the only one in America (and maybe the whole world) who doesn't |
|
own a pair of blue jeans?
(I've never owned a watch, either. I read something a while back that said only about two percent of Americans don't sear a watch.)

5. How about jewelry? Do you hate that, too? If so, you might be like me: I tried, |
|
I REALLY tried to wear a wedding ring after I got married to Mrs R. But it drove me fucking nuts, and snagged my guitar strings (yeah, I had some genuinely sloppy guitar technique, despite having started out playing classical guitar)...so I cut the ring down and tried wearing in on my little finger instead of the ring finger, but no joy. I ended up losing the damn (expensive) thing because I just CAN'T stand any kind of jewelry: rings, necklaces, bracelets, just get OFF me, would you?
There's probably a name for that frame of thought in the psychiatric world, but I don't want to know what it is.

13. I had a friendship bracelet that I wore for awhile. |
|
But that's it. No rings, no ear rings (though I did get my ear pierced 20 odd years ago...but only wore it for a couple of months), no necklaces, no nothing. :)

4. Normally I don't need a watch |
|
All our phones at work have the time as well as clocks in conference rooms. I have clocks on both floors of my house. My phone has one if I'm out and need the time. I have a watch for working out or else I'll drift into la la land and not keep track of my sets.
I do have blue jeans though.

6. I know someone who didn't own any jeans until recently. |
|
He doesn't like them. Honestly, I don't even know why he bought the pair he bought.
I don't wear a watch either. Haven't for about four or five years now.

I never have. Something about me controling my time, not time controlling me. Besides, it's not like I don't know what time it is. ;-)
I do, however, have plenty of jeans. And I need to get some new ones. I've recently become aware of what's more flattering on me, been buying things for women who are taller.

12. About watches: I have clocks in my house, and one in my car, and if I'm not in |
|
my house or my car (for example, if I'm fishing), I don't WANT to know what time it is.
Dopey philosophy, maybe, but it's worked well for me for a long time.

But I do wear jeans. They're comfortable for me. I know lots of people who don't like wearing them though.

14. I just bought a pair of jeans last summer .. I've had a pair or two on and |
|
off for my entire life, but the prevalence of them irritates me - it's like no one else can think of anything to wear.
They are useful, and can be comfortable, but they're certainly not my uniform the way there are for a lot of people.
I don't like to wear much jewelry, either - I can appreciate the artistry and design of some pieces, interesting and unique stones, etc., but I don't like a lot of stuff hanging off me. I often wear a pair of my mom's earrings, these very pretty woven gold hoops, my gold wedding band, and one of my father's watches (he LOVED watches). It's a Hamilton Seahawk, very nice, and I took a few links out of it so it wouldn't slide off my wrist. I guess I feel close to my family that way by wearing a few simple pieces that remind me of them no matter what. But I just don't like to accumulate a lot of stuff, whether jewelry or knick-knacks or whatever, so I don't have a lot. If I have it, and wear it, I like it.
My dad's watch comes off the second I walk into the house, though.

Nope, you're not the only one!
I haven't worn jeans since I was a teenager, if I did then...
However, I do wear a watch...
Leftover from being a nurse, and I always want to know what time it is!

Sometime in my early 30's, I turned into a battery killer. Don't know why, but every watch I tried would suddenly stop. We tried new batteries, exchanged watches, tried other watches, it's always the same. After so many years of not wearing one Dh bought me a self winding model but I never wear it.
I'm just not fond of jewelry of any type. I'll wear it for a special occasion but otherwise I prefer none. The only jewelry I kept on and never took off for years and years were my wedding rings. I had to take those off about 10 yrs ago due to my fingers swelling and not wanting to have to deal with having rings cut off.

For some reason, it just bothers me to have something on my wrist all the time. When I had a cell phone, it didn't matter, because I always had a "clock" with me. Now I'm back to "guessing" what time it is, if I'm not near a clock of any sort.

I live in jeans, I wear em to work, wear em at home, wear jean shorts in the warmer weather. As far as watches I am lost without mine, I have had one since I was a kid and have never gone without a watch since.
