The taste or smell of cardamom brings me right back to my Afghani aunts' houses because their living rooms stunk of it because lots of the breads and pastries were chock full of it.
What taste brings you right to your childhood or a previous time of your life?

My best friend growing up in MD was Chinese, and his grandmother made the best wonton. I would eat there about every night. My heart holds a special place for wonton.
