A little computer help, if you please. |
|
A parishioner of mine is in this "Dancing with the Stars for Charity" local thing. He's a great guy, funny as all get out, and well-loved at church. The tickets for this event sold out FAST!! But it's being live streamed from a website, so many of us from church promised him we'd watch online. But, when I try to watch, I get a dialogue box that says:
Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted.
I don't usually have problems with Media Player, so I'm perplexed. I've gone into "Tools", then "Options", then "network". But I'm not seeing what the problems is.
Anyone have any pointers? Thanks in Advance!

4. I got the link and it worked for me with Fire Fox and Real Player |
|
Little slow to connect. I would try again and if it still doesn't work, down load Fire Fox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

3. I am betting that the problem is NOT with your computer |
|
but with the server/website you are trying to connect to.

5. I'm beginning to think so, too. |
|
So, won't be able to watch. I'm hoping someone will put the dances up on youtube.
Thanks for reading this, and giving it some thought. :hi:

8. Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a problem now. |
|
I'm thinking they were having some problem getting started.

10. I used to have problems with .wmv files... |
|
...until I downloaded Flip4Mac.
Now all .wmv files are seamlessly converted to play in QuickTime.
