...and yes, I'm aware of the fact that that sounds sketchy - but, alas, it is not. Not as much as you probably think it is.
I just got invited to someone's 32nd birthday party. I might go - if I know other people there and I can bring a friend and my parents let me go.
But, I just realized I never get invited to typical teenage house parties. Not that I would want to go anyway.
I am a nerd. Yay me.

I would say you are NOT a nerd, far from it!
It seems to me that you get invited to parties by people older than you because you're a mature, worldly young woman...
They obviously do not see you as a teenager, but as someone a lot more worldly and more interesting!

i have a lot of older friends too.. i think part of it is maturity.. a lot of people our age aren't very mature. ;)
