3. Goodness. Whose bright idea was that? |
|
The highlight: the guy ripping his shirt off to beat out the flames. You just KNOW he was dieing for an opportunity to rip his shirt off all heroic-like.

6. I don't get the point of burning off the alcohol in my martini. |
|
In my bananas foster, sure. But martinis are a cocktail. There's supposed to be liquor in it.
This is what happens when someone decides something is cool, instead of thinking it through.
As for me, I'd have sipped my martini while walking to the nearest fire extinguisher. Might as well make the bride 100% white.

I hope she wasn't hurt. Didn't anybody have a glass of water or iced tea or something they could pour on her?

how stupid was that? :eyes:
Once, I saw a bride's vail (sp?) catch on fire from a unity candle... the groom acted very quickly and put out the flame... thank goodness. Too bad people didn't snuff out the flames immediately in this case. I sure hope the bride in that video was ok... how awful. :-(

I'm sure she'll remember that day for a long time. Here's one of the lucky groom, out with the guys the night before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTiGFwy38b0

16. I can't believe how long it took one of them to drop her to the ground to then smother the flames! |
|
How terrible. It actually looked like the flames were under her dress and possibly burning her legs. I hope she was okay.

18. And the couple I married today thought their wedding was ruined, |
|
because their mothers forgot to light the unity candle tapers before taking their seats. I should send 'em this!
That poor girl...but it looks like a quinceanera (sp?), which means she's just a 15 yo kid. How sad for her. I hope she wasn't hurt permanently!

19. I was the best man at my brother's wedding recently, |
|
and they had a similar problem with candle lighting. After a few failed attempts, she said "Okay, we'll pretend they are lit".
Well played, sister in law!
