how am I supposed to drink myself into a coma with a tolerance like this? |
|
I had most of a bottle of wine and a pint a of scotch yesterday. Didn't throw up or even pass out - didn't even get that drunk.
After a pint of beer and another of cider earlier tonight, I'm just finishing up this pint of scotch, and I'm almost stone sober.
This sucks.... I need to be wasted. I wish I had time to go to Amsterdam and take opiates for a few weeks. That would be super.

Scotch? Wine? What are you, a liberal? You're in England, fer crisakes, can't you find some real booze?

4. well, I had a nice 7.3% pint of cider earlier |
|
But, seriously, apart from cider and beer, scotch is all they really have to drink here for the hard stuff. I can get Jim Beam and Jack, but it's as expensive as all hell.
My constant state of drinking should tell you how I'm doing. That is: the same *sigh*
p.s. I am a bleeding heart liberal

5. You should have chosen a country with cheaper, harder liquor. |
|
I couldn't keep a drunk with cider and beer, either. I'd get nauseated before getting appreciably smashed.
Didn't really expect you to be any better yet, but thought I'd ask. I fell asleep the other night on your thread, but thought about you, even checked through the Lounge for followups. Drinking to oblivion is a respectable short-term cure, or as much as there can be, I guess. I mean, don't lose your degree over it or anything. That would make a suckie problem suck even worse.
And of course you're a bleeding heart liberal. Conservatives don't feel anything. :) Hang in there.

yeah, getting drunk just isn't working, unless I get back on the bourbon maybe. I guess I just have to deal. My present state is based on dealing with life by way of delusional wishful thinking and constructing and alternate reality in my brain :P At least I already voted, and what goes on when all those votes are counted will at least give me a little cheer.

Don't slow down until you see hear Portugeese. Though I'd advise a ferry in the early stages.
