Any Spore players here?
I recently got the game, and I am hooked. Granted, the game really doesn't live up to all the hype it received, but it's also not as bad as people are making it out to be.

So, what's your favorite stage? What kind of creatures have you created?

I love games that are big play god and do anything thingamajigs.

I'd be surprised if the space stage isn't everyone's favorite stage, but they're all fun. I will say the civilization stage is my least favorite.

Cell is short, silly and possibly the 2nd best visual stage. The giant cells moving around in the background is wonderful. Great for ten minutes of fun.

I like the animal/primitive stage. Honestly. I enjoy building the creatures and romping around, singing, dancing, kicking ass and just sitting by the beach watching the knobby moon rise with a gas giant in the background (drool).

Tribal stage is alright.

Civilization stage I just don't enjoy. I just build a giant religious fleet and get it over as quick as possible.

Space stage.... ah space stage.
A) Building planets when you have all the tools is hella fun. I really enjoy taking moons around gas giants and creating craggy, deep canyon strewn mushroom kingdom style planets.
B) God damn the galaxy is big. And I love the fact that I have yet to encounter a duplicate looking alien race
C) Monoliths. No more need be said.
D) Trading is simple, easy, an not necessary. Do it or not.
E) War is simple, easy, an not necessary. Do it or not.
F) Exploring is simple, easy, an not necessary. Do it or not.
G) All of the above

The only thing that bugs me is that the damned rocket engines in the ship building tool never point backwards. They always point out to the sides. I presume it's a bug. Maybe I should download the patch. ;)

The DRM is, well, non-obtrusive. Hell, I even bought the download version. No problems.

Edited to add: I tend to creatures with 6 limbs: 2 legs, 2 normal arms and another set that is either a hand/claw long set plunked on the back or teeny t-rex graspers on the front. I love making HP Lovecraft creatures/fishmonsters from the deep style animals. That and round cute bouncing blobbies.

4. I have a six legged race known as the Ginsk. They are evolved arachnids.
I'll need to upload some photos later. :D

2. It's great, my 13 year old daughter is the real expert though
So far, I like the creature and the space stages best...

Have made some really cool creatures...

as well as the creature stage.

Civilization is boring, but it was a challenge when I played as an economic society. I ended up declaring war on the last opposing nation, but we came to a truce after I inadvertently complimented their leader.

The religious society is my favorite. The giant proselytizing hologram cracks me up every time.

My gripe about playing from the cellular stage is that it's almost impossible to wind up with an omnivore.

One for meat and one for plants! That simple... just cleverly hide one of them if you don't like the look!
