I don't mean intentionally taking more than the recommended dose. Or even unintentionally taking more than the recommended dose.
I say this because I have a cough coming on and I might be in need of some. A couple of years ago I had a bad cough and I took a normal dose of Dayquil. And I'd be damned if my legs started to feel as if I was walking on air and I felt a little bit...euphoric. The worst part was I was taking a class where I was supposed to be taking notes. Class that day was very interesting, but I don't know how much I learned.
Other than the fact that that Dayquil stuff has some potency to it.

1. There's codeine in there for cough suppressant. |
|
It doesn't affect me much because I take vicodin for migraines, but if you aren't used to it you can definitely get a buzz. I knew someone who was addicted to cough syrup.

2. It always makes me loopy. Not really like what you're describing, |

but my short-term memory goes to hell and I have trouble concentrating. The last time I took it and then went to work, I completely f-ed up a big spreadsheet of financial info. I've been afraid of the stuff ever since.
