I like you, and Tom Baker as well. Those little icons are totally saved to my desktop
I think, however, that I may be a creep for being quasi-obsessed with this Eve. She was possibly flirting with me, and if she was, I most definitely fucked up an opportunity at many different times when I had a chance to do otherwise. Perhaps she only wants a professional relationship, but I'm incapable of that - I have to be friends with the people that I work with or else I can't stand working with them. In Eve's case, I think I would also like some hand holding along with the friendship.

I don't know. I'll write her an email tomorrow. I think mentioning that I have the hots for her would be very very bad, but I think some subtle email flirting wouldn't hurt. So long as it makes her flattered and not creeped out. Perhaps it's a fine line.

I don't want good luck. I'm in no mental or emotional state to actually have interest in a relationship, especially not with a woman who lives in Canada (not because I hate Canadians, but because there is the Atlantic Ocean and about 1,000 miles of land after that between us). I would, however like to compose a piano piece for her. Her playing is amazing (listening to one of her cds right now - the most I've listened to any one cd in weeks).... if you ever want to win the heart of an experimental music composer, just be an amazing performer of experimental music - that will do it.

I'm quite certain that an 8 time zone difference had some part to play in my 4 year relationship with the woman I wanted to marry ending last month :(
Not wearing pants IS hard. There's nothing out of the house that I can do without pants on, and in the house it's just too cold to not wear pants, even with the heat on.

You'll get alerted on all up in here.
Also, in England, those are pants.
My downstairs neighbour is also an American, and there was quite a bit of comedy when he sent out a request to borrow some black pants. Here, pants = underpants, and what we call pants, the English call trousers.

I get the feeling that his voice in DW is some sort of stage voice - not how he really talks... that's the case for David Tenant too, though I don't get that sense with him.

39. Both David Tennant and John Barrowman are from Scotland. |
|
Barrowman was born in Glasgow, but he was raised in Illinois. The kids made fun of his Scottish accent so he soon learned the flat mid-western American accent he uses in "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood." In real, life he chooses to either speak in a Scottish or American. However, Captain Jack Harkness is an American.
Tennant's original last name was "MacDonald." He has a lovely Scottish accent that you can hear on the commentary tracks on Doctor Who. I guess he makes his accent more British on Doctor Who, to blend in with the other Doctors?

41. I thought it was a fake American accent |
|
.... yeppers...
I heard in some Doctor Who Confidential, that Russell Davies asked DT to do the same English accent that he'd done on another tv show he'd been on (I don't know what one), so he just did that. It seems natural to me, but what do I know?
I'm completely blanking on what season it was, but once the doctor had a companion who had just about the worst fake American accent I've ever heard..... I think it was someone with the 5th and 6th Doctor.
I don't see why the Doctor has to have an English accent.... I guess something was made in "Rose" about Christopher Eclestone having a northern accent, which was a first for the show.

 I guess we can disagree on this...???
Colin Baker's sidekick, Penny, had a bad "American accent," but I still liked her anyway. Ever see "The Mark of The Rani?" That's a classic. :)
On edit: I don't see why the Doctor HAS to have a British accent, either. He's an alien.

.... come to think of it, I'm not even sure if I've ever heard any of her music, though I do know the name well.
Eve IS lovely. I totally had a chance to offer for her to stay at my house, but I was an idiot and didn't realize that until she'd gotten on the train and left for London. She's also something like 10 - 15 years older than me. I don't know if that means she wouldn't be interested, or that she would... hmmm... not counting 14 months as older, I've never had any sort of relationship beyond friendship with an older woman before.

I'm sorry.
Or not?
I don't know.
I have a friend who's like that. Well, he had a girlfriend once, and they even lived together, but they never had sex. Isn't that strange? So, I guess he's kissed a girl. For awhile, I thought he was probably gay, but he gets hit on by a lot of men and women, and has no reason that I can see for hiding anything. Sometimes I think he's got it all figured out in some way that I'll never understand. I went years in college without so much as a date, and in the last 7 years, I've only had two girlfriends. It's made me completely useless as a heterosexual male. I don't have the faintest idea about how to attract someone or do what it takes to meet someone.

Yes, I'm a virgin. But, I prefer it then to have settle for "less." I'm a bisexual woman who is very sensual and horny, but I am not "in the traditional sense attractive."
Don't want to play a game and pretend I'm something that I'm not just to get a date and get laid.

I wouldn't worry about what other people consider attractive. I sure don't - god, I'd be in trouble if I did - I can never figure out for the life of me what women find attractive, even if I wasn't fat and balding, I don't think I'd be able to pull it off, or want to. I think about how much I hate most things that our culture values, and that goes along with what is considered to be attractive in a person physically.... I don't like the Dave Matthews Band, and I would guess that I also wouldn't be attracted to his fans. It's a strange thing.... there have been people that I've been attracted to, until I got to know them, and people that I've not been attracted to until I got to know. It's a whole wild mix of things that science will probably never explain. Right now, I know there's a girl who likes me at my school, but I don't think I'm going to do anything about, and it's not because I don't like her or because she's not attractive.... it's strange... I can't even explain it to myself ... maybe I'll give in and ask her out - I need some company, at least. No offense, but I probably spend too many nights at home posting here in the Lounge or just out drinking.
