1. that's so weird!
our governor insulted (sort of) the new Head of Homeland Security, but I guess that isn't that bad in comparison.

So how dumb is this guy, anyway?

My day is good, did some writing, and it's not as cold as it was - it's in the 40s!

2. Couldn't believe it. Woke up. Put the beagle out. Heated up some water,
sat down in front of the tube...and hear the governor "is in federal custody"! :wtf:

Apparently, he's pretty dumb. And REALLY, REALLY corrupt.

Glad your day is good. It's warmer here, too! :hi:

3. He is
a total fucking idiot.

I watched him on MSNBC today and couldn't believe what a sanctimonious liar he is. He did have the total lack of brains to compare his wiretapped phone to Nixon's tapes. What a genius.

and think those who did have some 'splainin' to do!!

15. It's almost impossible to resist...but wait, there's more...
The Mayor of Minneapolis is R. T. Ryback. I call him Archie Zweibak on my blog. Pisses him off somewhat, so I put R.T. Ryback in parentheses every time I write it, just for appeasement purposes.

I just can't leave politicos' names alone, I guess...except for President-elect Obama.

Jesse Ventura? Now that was some fine voting.

We are proud to say that we have the Governator here... *sigh*

19. Jesse (The Body) was governor before I moved here.
It was brilliant, though, electing an inarticulate pro wrestler. You don't get that sort of thing in most states. He's good buddies with Kinky Friedman, too.

26. He was the beneficiary of a three-way race...
Coleman on the Repub side and Skip Humphrey on the Dem side. Neither was popular enough to win, and Ventura pulled votes from both of them.

I did not vote for Ventura, but I know several people who did.

a third party candidate wins. And what a candidate! Turned out he didn't really like the job, though.

Coleman's not one of my favorite folks, either. I like Al Franken, though. I haven't met him personally, but I had a long conversation with his daughter, Thomasin, during the campaign. He raised up a very nice person there.

Hmmm

All I see is that he might request that his sentence be commuted, not pardoned.

23. I think Quinn actually lives in Springfield now. The Governor refused
to move into the Governor's mansion and avoids Springfield as much as possible. He's never given a rat's ass for the state. He cares about Chicago. Quinn is a good guy and probably couldn't stand the sleaze ball governor. Quinn will make a good governor.

the Lt. Gov wouldn't have even had a conversation with "the boss" in over a year? Yikes.

Before this it was my governor being bitched out by the religious reich and BillO the clown for some stupid Xmas display that she had nothing to do with.
