http://www.ticketnews.com/Dave-Matthews-Band-tour-announces-spring-2009-dates-new-album12816677

A perennial touring icon, Dave Matthews Band (DMB) will return to the road in 2009 for the first new tour and album since the death of a founding band member. The spring outing will begin April 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, and currently has dates booked through a May 8-9 run at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The 17-date tour will run down the East Coast and across the southern states, stopping for two-night stands on April 17 and 18 at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA, and on April 28 and 29 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA. The Roots, Old Crow Medicine Show and The Avett Brothers will provide support on various dates in April, while singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is signed on for the currently announced May dates.

oooOOOooo And JASON MRAZ?!?!?! Wow, Suckfest '09 will be the suckiest EVER.

1. Which one died?
I missed that story...probably because I simply pay no attention to this band.

9. As noted below Leroi Moore-died in a ATV accident
Death

Moore was injured on June 30, 2008, in an ATV accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia,<6> breaking several ribs and puncturing a lung,<7> and was hospitalized at UVA for several days. His last live performance took place two days prior at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia.<8> Jeff Coffin, the saxophonist from Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, stood in for Moore on subsequent tour dates. Though released several days later, Moore was re-hospitalized in mid-July for complications related to the accident.

On August 19, 2008, the official Dave Matthews Band website reported that Moore died of complications from his injuries in the ATV accident. The following statement was released on the band's website:

We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.<9>

Dave Matthews paid tribute to Moore on August 19, 2008 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, after the band's first song of the performance, "Bartender".<10> "We all had some bad news today," Matthews told the sold-out crowd. "Our good friend LeRoi Moore passed on and gave his ghost up today and we will miss him forever." Fans then shouted Moore's name in remembrance.<11>

On August 27, 2008, LeRoi Moore was buried at Holly Memorial Gardens in Albemarle County. Attendance of the funeral numbered in the thousands, including Dave Matthews, LeRoi's family, and dedicated fans.

On a drawbridge so it was dumped upon unsuspecting tourists on a riverboat below.

4. OMG! Every night, tens of thousands of useless wanker shits jammed into one place...
I mean, my God, that's such a gift... so easy to take 'em out right there, instead of hunting them down separately.

Sigh.

Probably some kind of fucking law against it.
